Myles comes to Oak Rose Group after serving as President of Empower Illinois, where he successfully led the passage of the “Invest in Kids Act,” Illinois’ tax credit scholarship program. Myles spearheaded the program’s implementation, developing a statewide organization and building technology alongside a fundraising strategy that raised over $400 million, enabling tens of thousands of Illinois children to attend more than 400 private K-12 schools.

Myles is also deeply engaged as a volunteer in heterodox causes. He served on the board of directors of the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR) during Bari Weiss’s tenure, collaborating on initiatives to promote tolerance and free expression. After FAIR’s transition to new leadership, Myles continued to support similar efforts, working with Michael Shellenberger to raise awareness about better support for youth experiencing rapid onset gender dysphoria. Currently, Myles leads a working group at the University of Austin (UATX) to develop a K-12 curriculum aimed at fostering entrepreneurship. He is also actively involved in several Jewish organizations across the country.

Myles previously advised an Aspen-based philanthropist, served as a national leader at Democrats for Education Reform, and was a founding executive at the Denver Scholarship Foundation, where he worked with the principal investor, board, and team to raise over $62 million. Earlier in his career, Myles worked as a social worker at Chicago’s Children’s Hospital and Denver’s Children’s Hospital, where he also developed an HIV/AIDS program for children and youth.

Myles is a member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network and the Economic Club of Chicago. He has served on the startup boards of Strive Charter Schools, Rocky Mountain Prep Charter Schools, and the Lab for Art and Ideas, as well as on the boards of Denver Health, the Colorado AIDS Coalition for Education, and the Colorado Association of School-Based Health Centers.

In his free time, Myles enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids, and dogs. When he can break free, he loves reading, exercising, hiking, snowboarding, live music, and reading. He lives in Glencoe, Illinois.
